Dead Sea Ultra Marathon
-
The Hook: A world-famous endurance challenge held at the lowest point on Earth (approx. 420m below sea level).
-
The Course: Unlike the old route that ran downhill from Amman, the modern course is typically held entirely within the Dead Sea and Jordan Valley area. It usually starts near the Dead Sea hotels or the Baptism Site, running along the unique, saline landscape with the sea on one side and rugged mountains on the other.

Distances:
-
50km Ultra: The main event (Individual & Relay).
-
21km Half Marathon: The most popular distance.
-
10km Fun Run: Open to all abilities.

Key Challenge: The higher oxygen levels at this depth are a boon, but the heat (even in April) and the psychological challenge of the desert road make it a grueling test of endurance.
